Family Food Sharing
Buy Together. Spend Less. Bring More Food Home.
Pool your contributions with other households to buy food in bulk directly from farms and producers.
We organise the bulk purchase, bring it to our collection point and share it out. Your allocation matches the value of your verified payment, based on the agreed price per kilogram or other stated unit.

Farm-direct sourcing · Planned bulk buying · Collection in Aboru
The idea is simple
A bulk purchase. A household-sized share.
You may not need a trailer load of yams or a whole cow. Together, a group of households can make a larger purchase and each receive the quantity they have paid for.
By buying directly from farms or main producers and sharing bulk transport, we aim to reduce the cost of sourcing food for participating households.
Your contribution determines your portion.
This is not an equal split regardless of payment. Each participant receives an allocation worth their verified payment, using the buying round’s stated rate and measurement.
The larger the paid quantity, the larger the allocation.
What we plan to share
Farm produce for your family.
Our starting categories are yam, beans, tomatoes and cow/beef sharing. Availability depends on the buying round.
Yam

Bulk yam purchases shared into household quantities. The buying-round offer will state the weight, or the tuber count and size range.
Beans

Bulk beans sourced and weighed into the quantity covered by your payment. Variety and price per kilogram will be stated for each round.
Tomatoes

Bulk tomatoes allocated into weighed household packs or crates. Each offer will explain the unit and expected collection arrangements.
Cow / Beef Sharing

Contribute towards a whole-cow purchase and receive the beef allocation covered by your payment. Bone-in weight, offal and processing terms will be stated before payment.
Next buying round: prices, available quantities, payment deadline and expected collection date will be announced before contributions open.

One organized buying round at a time.
Payment closes before sourcing begins. Our team confirms the purchase and collection updates with participants.

Questions before you join?
Do all participants receive the same quantity?
No. Each allocation corresponds to the value of that participant’s verified payment, using the price and unit stated for the buying round.
How long do I have to contribute?
The initial plan is a one-week contribution window. Each round will announce its own payment deadline before contributions open.
Will every item be measured in kilograms?
Kilograms will be used where appropriate. Some offers may use a pack, crate or stated tuber count and size range. The exact measurement will be explained before payment.
Is delivery included?
Collection at 29 Fatai Omisakin Street, Aboru, is the standard option. Delivery is available on request, subject to confirmation and a separately agreed charge.
What if there are not enough contributions?
Each round must state its minimum buying target and refund or rescheduling terms before you pay. Contact the team if those terms have not been provided.
Why buy together?
Pooling household purchases enables farm-direct sourcing in larger quantities and shared bulk transport. Compare the published all-in rate for the round with your usual local buying options.
